In 2026 Tendra are proud to be launching our initial pilot scheme which focuses on the borough of Fylde & Wyre in the north west of England. Here’s why we chose this location:-
The borough of Fylde & Wyre faces significant hospital-to-home pressures, more so than many boroughs within the UK and, as this location is on our immediate doorstep, it makes perfect sense for us to launch our pilot scheme here. These pressures are most noticeable across the Blackpool Victoria area and nearby community wards. This area has one of Lancashire’s highest older-adult populations, limited domiciliary capacity and many self-funding families who are desperately seeking private care guidance.
Our scope to support this sector in demand will encompass the following:-
We intend to focus on supporting hospital discharge and home-first cases, especially self-funders and step-down clients. We will partner with up to 10 local domiciliary agencies together with two NHS discharge wards and deliver 50 social work assessments, with 30 being full brokerage cases within the first quarter of 2026.
Our overall pilot scheme objectives are as follows:-
To reduce the average time from referral to the commencement of care to under 72 hours. We will achieve >95% care-package continuity during the first four weeks and secure >90% family satisfaction through our participation. By ‘family satisfaction’, we refer to those who will feel both ‘informed and supported’ throughout their journey.
We also intend to demonstrate and deliver a measurable reduction in delayed-discharge days within pilot wards although we are currently working on a suitable performance indicator to represent this.
